Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 4, 2026
ForgeLine Partners ("ForgeLine," "we," "our," "us") operates a platform that connects homeowners with vetted Lead Contractors for residential projects, together with related marketing and recruitment pages and authenticated account tools (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information.
1. Information we collect
a. Contractor account & business information
When a Lead Contractor account is created, invited, verified, billed, or managed: name, email, phone, login/authentication data, company details, role and seat information, business profile, and settings.
b. Customer (homeowner) & project information
When a Customer requests a quote or a Lead Contractor manages a project: name and contact details, service address, the requested service and project scope/description, contract and project records, phase and scheduling details, approvals and sign-offs, and related project communications and photos.
c. Stripe Connect & payment information
To let Lead Contractors accept Customer payments, contractors provide identity, business, and bank details directly to Stripe during Stripe Connect (Express) onboarding; we receive limited connected-account status (such as whether the account can accept charges and its payout status) and payment metadata (amounts, fees, statuses, and identifiers). For contract payments, the Lead Contractor is the merchant of record and funds are processed by Stripe to the contractor's own account; Customer payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by ForgeLine. For ForgeLine's own contractor billing, we collect subscription, seat, invoice, and usage metadata.
d. Lead intake & communications data
Information submitted through public forms, and — where telephony is used to connect Customers and contractors — call metadata such as numbers, timestamps, duration, and disposition. We do not record call audio by default.
e. Technical, security, and usage information
IP address, browser/device data, session and diagnostic logs, cookies, and fraud/abuse-prevention signals (including reCAPTCHA where enabled).
2. How we use information
To provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service; to facilitate project quotes, contracts, and payments between Customers and Lead Contractors; to enable Stripe Connect onboarding and route Customer payments to Lead Contractors; to manage leads, requests, and matching; to authenticate users and enforce access controls; to process ForgeLine's own contractor billing; to generate metrics and reporting; to detect abuse and enforce our terms; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
3. How we share information
- Service providers & infrastructure — hosting, email, communications, billing, security, fraud prevention, analytics, and support.
- Payments & communications providers — Stripe for payment processing and Stripe Connect (enabling Lead Contractors to accept Customer payments as merchant of record); Twilio for communications; Google for reCAPTCHA where enabled.
- Between Customers and Lead Contractors — a Customer's project request and related details are shared with the matched Lead Contractor to deliver the project; contractor business information may be shown to the Customer as needed to transact.
- Legal & safety — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service.
4. Data retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain project, billing, and payment records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Periods vary by data type.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies to maintain sessions and authentication, support functionality, and improve reliability and security. Most browsers let you control cookies; disabling them may affect functionality.
6. Data security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices
Depending on your relationship to the Service and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing. Account owners can update certain settings in the Service; for other requests, contact us. We may verify identity first.
8. International data transfers
If you access the Service from outside the United States, information may be processed and stored in the U.S. or other jurisdictions where our providers operate.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Third-party sites and services
The Service may link to or rely on third-party sites or services; we are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy and will post the updated version with a revised "Last updated" date.
